Blue asphyxia
65x54 - 2016
Acrylic, charcoal, collage, pigments, wood
In Blue asphyxia , the man is crushed by his addiction, embodied by an oversized wooden cigarette. His wooden hat, symbolizing a packet of cigarettes, seems to crush him.
The swirls of smoke in glue and projected pigments resemble the sputum of a sick smoker. Around her throat, her paper scarf seems to hug her. The frame itself restricts the space around the man.

Sad man with the sand perrot
50x65 - 2016
Acrylic, collage, paper, wood, sand
In Sad Man with the sand parrot , the materials wood and sand are significant. The sand symbolizes the fragility of the expression, the wood the harshness of the words and the impediment of speaking.
The man would like to speak to hold back the shadow of the one who is leaving. Is he prevented from speaking by these two pieces of wood which block his speech? Did he say hurtful words that he regrets? Her tears do not fall on him, but on his sand parrot.
